Dayara Bugyal Trek is a great and enjoyable Bugyal. Dayara Bugyal Trek is located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India and is the highest point of Bugyal. 11,181 feet. It starts from the small village of Barsu. Amazing mountain scenery, thrilling trekking, and the best alpine meadows in Uttarakhand. Spectacular forest areas, stunning campsites, ancient villages, high points.

Dayara Bugyal Trek is among the best treks in Uttarakhand. Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has large grasslands ranging from 10,000 to 11,181 feet.

This stunning location stands among towering snow-capped peaks that together create an incredible view. On the other hand, grasslands are covered with snow. So, as a result, it seems to be the most wonderful winter trek in Uttarakhand. And, furthermore an incredible skiing destination. Dayara Bugyal is about 28 km2 to 30 km2..km2.. 

The best time to trek the Dayara Bugyal

The Kashmir great lakes trek  is the best choice for beginners who want to experience campaign and hiking in mountain and forest. This moderate trek is very amazing.

It is a year around trek, so you can conduct this trek any time. But, The best perfect time to conduct the trek is from December to February.

In Winter during the day the temperature here is around -2° C to -5° C and at night the temperature drops between -5° C to -12° C which is very amazing.

In Summer during the day the temperature here is around 5° C to 15° C and at night the temperature drops between 2° C to 8° C which is very pleased.

Dayara Bugyal Trek Itinerary
Day 01: Dehradun Railway Station to Raithal village
  • Total Distance – 175 km – 7/8 Hours journey
  • Mode of Journey – By taxi
  • Altitude – Raithal Village – 7423 feet 
  • Night stay – Homestay – on twin share basis

On arrival at Dehradun Railway Station or Airport our team leader will meet you and assist you to reach Raithal Village. Raithal Village is 175 km drive from Dehradun, and it will take 7 to 8 hours to rich Raithal Village.

After reaching the village, check in to the homestay. You can enjoy the amazing views of Draupadi Ka Danda, Shrikhand Mahadev, Mt Jaonli and Gangotri group of peaks. Evening snacks will be provided in the open Garden with great views.

You will be provided some details after which you can go for evening walk but be at the hotel, for dinner.

Day 02: Trek from Raithal village to Gui Camp
  • Trek Distance – 05 km – 4/5 Hours Trek
  • Mode of Journey – On foot
  • Altitude – Gui Camp – 9884 feet
  • Night Stay – Camp – on twin share basis

Today is the 1st day of our trek, after breakfast we will leave Raithal village and start the trek through forests of cedars, oaks, rhododendrons and silver birch. On the way you can clearly see the peaks of Gangotri group.

After 4 to 5 hours of trekking, you will reach your campsite Gui Camp and witness the majestic peaks of Bandarpunch, Draupadi Ka Danda, Srikhand Mahadev and Black Peak...

Day 03: Exploration Day Dayara bugyal summit back to camp Gui Camp
  • Trek Distance – 12 km – 7/8 Hours Trek
  • Mode of Journey – On foot
  • Altitude – Bakaria Top Summit – 12645 feet
  • Night Stay – Camp – on twin share basis

Today is the most exciting day of this trek, after breakfast start Dayara Bugial and Bakria top summit trek with packed lunch and day bag. Bandarpanch (6,300 m) and Kalo Shikhar (6,387 m) are visible from here.

From Bakria Peak you will get a panoramic view of some high peaks like – Draupadi Ka Danda, Srikhand Mahadev, Mount Jaonli and Gangotri Mountain.

After reaching Bakaria Peak (12,645 feet) in the afternoon, we will break there for lunch.

After lunch start your descent through the pristine beauty of the grasslands. Retrace your steps and return to camp.

Day 04: Trek from Gui Camp to Raithal Village and Drive to Dehradun
  • Trek Distance – 05 km – 3/4 Hours Trek
  • Mode of Journey – On foot
  • Altitude – Gui Camp – 9884 feet

After a delicious breakfast we will take the second route of this trek back to Raithal village. The route is very beautiful through a dense forest, this route is adapted from a very beautiful and serene environment, thus you can see various birds and beautiful trees, Rithal village base camp is very good and mind blowing, the route descends.

Drive to Dehradun - Mode of Travel 175 KM - By Tax

Reach Raithal from Gui - Have some lunch. Certificates will be handed over. After some beautiful pictures start your journey from Raithal village to Dehradun. You will reach Dehradun around 7 pm.

The trek ends with sweet memories.

🎒 Things To Take

Mandatory Documents:
  •  Original and photocopy of government photo identity card- (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voters ID, etc,)
  •  Passport and Visa important to foreigners
  •  Medical Certificate (First part should be filled by the Doctor and Second part by the Trekker)

Necessary Items for Trekkers:
  • Backpack (50 to 60 liters)

A strongly built backpack with good support is compulsory for a trek. (Rain cover is important)

  • Sturdy Trekking Shoes

The shoes should be strong enough with good support. The people ask if sports shoes would be comfortable but it is good to bring the right trekking shoes.

  • Trek Pants

The jeans are never suitable for a trek so you need at least 2-3 trek pants for treks carry more for longer treks.

  • Jacket

Jackets are very important to carry on a trek it protects you against the chilly weather. So carry 2 jackets on a week long trek.

  • Layers of warm Clothing

Carry warm woolen layers or fleece. Carry more layers during winter season (at least 2 to 3) and less during summer.

  • Thermals

The Temperature decreases at night so you might be need thermals for Night.
